Hotel Laguna Nivaria

Hotel Laguna Nivaria is a four-star hotel set in a 16th-century mansion on Plaza del Adelantado, one of the main squares of La Laguna's historic centre. Rooms range from standard and superior doubles to family rooms, junior suites and the Suite Nivaria, and all are non-smoking.

On site there is Restaurante Laguna (à la carte lunch and dinner), Café Nivaria for lighter meals, a spa and a gym, plus meeting rooms. The hotel says part of its produce comes from its own farm. Location

The hotel stands inside the grid of streets that make up La Laguna's old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so the cathedral area, convents and pedestrian streets are a short walk away. La Laguna is a practical base for the north-east of Tenerife: the laurel forest and trails of Anaga Rural Park are reached by road from the city. The town sits on a high plateau and is often cooler and cloudier than the south coast, so pack a layer.
